The Classic Daiquiri Cocktail

The Origins of the Daiquiri

The Daiquiri cocktail is named after a small town on the Southeastern tip of Cuba. Legend has it that Jennings Cox, an American engineer, ran out of gin while entertaining guests one evening, prompting him to mix local ingredients. His creation soon turned into a classic cocktail enjoyed around the world. Today, the Daiquiri is celebrated for its refreshing simplicity.

What’s in a Classic Daiquiri?

The classic Daiquiri is a quick and tasty cocktail which adds a splash of Cuban sun to laid-back gatherings. You can enjoy this drink in the company of friends on a rooftop and also on special occasions. The simple cocktail recipe blends white rum, fresh lime, sugar and ice cubes, inviting you to slow down and savour the precious moments of the day.

The Daiquiri doesn’t just sit quietly in a glass; it’s the guest that never fails to liven things up. It’s all about that bright, spirited kick it brings thanks to its zesty, refreshing character.

When it comes to the perfect Daiquiri ingredients, the white rum you choose is key. The Havana Club 3 is the champion for all Daiquiri drinks. Why? It’s authentically Cuban, distilled from local sugarcane molasses and aged right in the heart of Cuba. This rum harmoniously blends the fresh notes of the sugarcane with the rum’s fruity character. A bouquet of various aromas, balancing sweetness with a zest of citrus, will provide you with an unforgettable, authentic Daiquiri experience.
